Service Description

There is a reasonable expectation that you are proficient with a handgun prior to taking a Concealed Carry course. If you do not have recent experience shooting handguns, we would highly recommend our shooting Fundamentals courses, or private lessons prior to registering for this class. Please note you must qualify for the 8 hour class, see class description for prerequisites. Military, Other ISP Approved Training: Current and former members of the U.S. Military and those who have taken an IL State Police approved 8hr credited course, and have a DD-214/VA Card or your NRA Certificate, you will be eligible to take the 8 hour course. Approved NRA Courses that qualify you to take the 8 hour course include: NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting, NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home. You will need to provide proof. Upon completion of this 8 hour course you will receive the Illinois Concealed Carry License (ICCL) Completion Certificate. (Plus Range Fee) To Register for Classes please return to Online Booking and fill out the registration form. Equipment: Note taking materials, eye and ear protection, and a mask/face covering. Students may bring their own firearm and ammunition (50 rounds for 1st day) NO FIREARMS ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM or rent a firearm at the range 355 and purchase ammunition. The range will not have 9mm ammunition available for purchase at this time, we will be traveling to the Range 355 for qualification.
